Inauguration of WIN WIN Week 2025

To mark the start of the WIN WIN Week, we invite you to join us for an engaging afternoon where we shine a light on the importance of courageous, values-driven leadership in the transition towards a more sustainable future.

On stage, you’ll meet:
🔸Uyunkar Domingo Peas, Achuar leader from Ecuador, president of the Amazon Sacred Headwaters and recipient of the WIN WIN Award 2025
🔹Juan Pierre, Changemaker from Mauritius, youngest official UN Expert in the world at the age of 20 and recipient of the WIN WIN Youth Award 2025
🔸Wakanyi Hoffman, Indigenous scholar, Head of Sustainable AI Lab at Utrecht University and Board member of the Inner Development Goals
🔹Madeleine Jonsson (MP), Chair of the Committee for Environment and Regional Development in Västra Götalandsregionen

Together, they will offer perspectives on the role of leadership in tackling complex challenges and shaping lasting change – locally and globally.

There will be an opportunity to mingle 30 minutes before we start. See you at the inauguration!

The event is hosted in collaboration with Business Region Göteborg and will be conducted in English. Free of charge, but registration is required.

The WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award is the world’s leading sustainability award, recognising and promoting outstanding solutions to the most urgent challenges facing the world today, with a prize of 1 million SEK.

Founded in 2000, the WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award, was established as an alliance between politics, business, and academia, driven by the belief that global challenges require collaboration and strong role models who inspire action towards a sustainable future.

In 2018, the WIN WIN Youth Award was introduced, with a prize of 50,000 SEK. This award aims to empower and reward young people who actively contribute to creating a more sustainable future.
